Walk on Aşiyan Slope
You can walk on that famous slope, which is subject of songs, of Aşiyan that is located on the ridge between Bebek and Rumelihisarı in Istanbul and overlooking Bosphorus. You can enjoy the sea view and visit Aşiyan Museum. AŞİYAN, which is the house where renowned Turkish poet Tevfik Fikret lived from 1906 to 1915, contains Abdülhak Hamit’s personal effects, Tevfik Fikret’s room, and Tevfik Fikret’s own paintings called “Krizantemli Vazo” (Vase of Chrysanthemums) and “Nazime Hanım Bebek Sırtlarında” (Mrs. Nazime on the Ridges of Bebek).
Breakfast in Çengelköy
Crispy Turkish bagel seller, cute Istanbul houses, narrow streets and famous Çınaraltı Cafe of Çengelköy are a few of what you can see during a long walk in Çengelköy… You can have breakfast in Çınaraltı Cafe of Çınarlı Kahve.
Peace in Ağva
Ağva, which is one hour -or two hours, depending on your location- to Istanbul, is the right address to take a deep breath. Ağva, the history of which goes back to the 7th century B.C., means “village established between two streams” and “water” (aqua) in Latin.
Sunset in Salacak
Salacak is the point where the sunset is rampant. This is the best place to see the Istanbul silhouette, the symbol of the city. One of the most spectacular silhouettes in the world includes the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia of the old city on the Rumeli (Europe) side, starting from Ahırkapı. The best place to see this matchless view of the Historical Peninsula in the sunset is Salacak.
